Do you dream of being a world-famous published author? Take your first step toward that goal by preparing for Harlequin and Mills & Boon's first ever global writing competition.

This year's So You Think You Can Write event is going worldwide. The event begins with a 24/7 online week-long conference, then launches into a contest where we hope to find fresh new writing voices. We're getting all our readers involved, too, because we'll be asking the public to vote for their favorite stories.

You will need a completed manuscript to enter the contest. So get out that WIP, or boot up that laptop and start a new project. We'll be here, ramping up for the big event and providing you with the tools you need to write a story that will get you noticed by the largest publisher of romance fiction in the world.

So You Think You Can Write allows hopeful romance novelists to spend a week with more than 50 editors from Toronto, New York and London through social media tools including podcasts, videos, webinars, blogs, live chats, community discussions and Twitter events. Aspiring authors will attend a virtual romance-writing "boot camp" designed to teach them how to write a romance novel that will attract the attention of publishers. So You Think You Can Write has been organized in such a way as to help participants prepare completed manuscripts for submission to the So You Think You Can Write contest by the deadline, October 13, 2012.

In advance of our September event we'll be providing you with writing tips, insider information on our fabulous editorial team, and inspiration to help you whip your manuscript into fabulous shape! Click on the links below to get started.
