This unique course will cover writing historical fiction and is run by Lindum Heritage. It provides not only writing workshops under the guidance of a specialist tutor but also talks about historical time, place and sources by a professional historian. As more and more people enjoy reading historical novels, the scope for writing historical fiction has never been greater.

 

Saturday is occupied by talks and writing workshops, followed by a tutor-guided walk around historic Lincoln. On Sunday morning the previous day’s work will be reviewed and there will be a look at the future of the attendees’ historical writing.

The main tutor is George Green, author of Hound. His latest novel Hawk is set in Rome in AD 34. It is described as an enthralling historical adventure recounting one man's struggle to protect those he loves, whatever the cost.

Hotel accommodation, wine reception, Saturday evening diner, tour of historic Lincoln, Cathedral tour are all included in the price. The cost of the weekend is £235 based on two sharing a twin room.
